Two weeks ago, I bought my airplane ticket home to surprise daddy for his birthday. Last week, life decided to change  it into a ticket home to his funeral. A bit cruel, isn’t it? Life… Fifty-five years young we buried you today. Of course it wasn’t enough, but I know you made the most out of your time. You’ve had such a positive impact on the people you have met in your life, and it was evident in the faces of those in attendance today. So many of your family and friends came to see you one last time. Thank you for being such an amazing father, for raising Jenny and I so well. After much reflection, your qualities truly shine in us, and they are all qualities that I am proud to encompass. In this, I find the greatest comfort. Na mo a mi tuo fo… I pray for you every day, ba. Happy birthday. You can finally rest in peace. I love you forever, daddy<3. ————-I want to thank everyone for taking the time to send my family and I your thoughts, support, and condolences. I am truly blessed to have been lucky enough to surround myself with such caring, compassionate people throughout my life, and it honestly means the world to me to have your words regardless of how close we are, how much we talk, how long we haven’t talked… Thank you for having such huge hearts and reaching out to my family and I. Your sympathy is appreciated more than I am able to express<3.
